Supporting Local Organisations.

Granite Heart is dedicated to supporting local charities and voluntary organisations through our grant programmes.

  • We currently offer small grants of up to £350, although larger grant applications may be considered.

As our charity grows and achieves a more stable financial footing, we plan to expand our grant offerings to include larger sums.

Reviewed with Care.

All grant applications are reviewed by our Grant Sub-Committee, typically on a monthly basis, who assess each application based on its alignment with our charitable purposes.

Applications must demonstrate a clear benefit to the community in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and address one or more of our specified charitable objectives. Priority is given to organisations that are not in receipt of regular funding or other income.

Applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision following the review process. Successful applicants will receive their grant funds promptly to support their projects and initiatives.

You can expect an acknowledgement of your application within 5 working days, and we aim to review and respond within 6 weeks.

We understand that our application form asks a lot of questions, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you take to complete it.

As a small but growing charity, we receive multiple applications and currently have limited funds to distribute. In these early stages, we expect most grants to range between £50 and £350, though we will consider larger awards. As Granite Heart becomes more financially sustainable, we aim to increase the size and scope of the grants we offer.

The information we ask for helps us to ensure fairness, make thoughtful decisions, and, importantly, to meet our own charitable objectives. It also allows us to follow up with grant recipients to learn how funds have been used and what impact they’ve had, something that’s very important to us and our supporters.
